Atsushi Kaga (b, 1978) is a Dublin based artist. He works in mixed media, painting, animation and sculpture. His works deal with crucial themes in life such as sexuality, death, money, and the drama of everyday life and the humour of social relationship. They are described through a heterogeneous world of characters such as a playful bunny, a legless bear, bodyless panda heads. He has exhibited extensively with recent exhibitions at NADA 09 in Miami, Butler Gallery in Kilkenny, Ireland, and Nicholas Krupp in Basel, Switizerland. He is exhibiting at a project space in Galeria Leme, Sao Paulo, Brazil. His second book A Tremendous Appetite for Adventure 2 is coming out very soon.
