Since I remember I always have done portraits, strange portraits; but lately I have discovered my ability to live inside the surrealistic game of being able to permanently seek and find (and then put in paper) images laying hidden under those hundreds of random images that we come across every day. And I make portraits modifying, repairing, transforming and rearranging those bits I find hiding. So I always work on printed papers no matter very much where they come from... no white canvas anymore in my life. And I do it through rough paint, nearly no scissors and any computers. But even if not gluing anything, technically they still call it collage.
